4. La Frontera Center, Tucson, Arizona

Founded in 1968, La Frontera Center was one of the original 947 community mental health centers established during the initial stages of the mental health movement. Today, La Frontera is the largest of such centers in southern Arizona and is among the top 10% across America.

The Tucson location offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) only. Hours for dispensing are 5 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday through Friday, and 6 to 9 a.m. on Saturdays. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

6. Purpose Healing Center, Scottsdale, Arizona

Purpose Healing Center employs experts to ensure high-quality care for every client facing drug addiction, offering six locations in Arizona, including three in Phoenix and three in Scottsdale.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at this location offers clients the opportunity to live at home while receiving therapy at the rehab center at least five days per week for between four and six hours per day. PHPs offer many of the same services and therapies as intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) but provide a higher level of structure and supervision for clients who would benefit. 9. Transitional Living Communities (TLC), Mesa, Arizona

TLC started in 2012 and has since been helping men and women find long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. All clients are offered housing options to pair with their treatment, but this is not a requirement of the program.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the first step in clients’ journeys to recovery and wellness following detoxification or residential treatment.
