Free Rehab Montana | 7 Free Or Low-Cost Montana Rehab Centers

Taking the first steps toward treatment can feel stressful without the burden of finding affordable drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The following is a list of some of the free or low-cost substance abuse treatment centers in Montana.

Free Or Low-Cost Montana Rehab Centers

There has been a growing drug and alcohol abuse problem in Montana. Since 2017, the state has become aware of a lack of prevention and rehabilitation treatment services for those struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD).

Less than two years ago, about seven percent of Montana residents struggling with a SUD were actually attending substance abuse treatment. Over 4,000 people in Montana were seeking treatment and unable to attain services.

These staggering numbers have led to a restructuring of the programs available to combat addiction. As of mid-2018, the restructuring of the healthcare system (access to programs like substance abuse rehab, insurance coverage, Medicaid expansion, prevention measures, etc.), Montana has saved over $20 million in funding that can be used for other healthcare services.

The recent changes increased the availability of drug and alcohol treatment programs, as well as the specific programs used to treat SUD, like medication-assisted treatment, and inpatient rehabilitation. Because these changes are so recent, they may not be readily available at first glance.

This list includes recent drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation facilities in Montana that offer low-cost, affordable, or free treatment for people struggling with substance abuse.
