Wisconsin has a number of facilities that offer low cost or free substance abuse treatment programs. This list includes the eight free or low-cost substance abuse treatment centers in Wisconsin.

Free Or Low-Cost Wisconsin Rehab Centers

Not only is Wisconsin facing issues with the rest of the country when it comes to the opioid epidemic, they are also struggling with a significant methamphetamine abuse problem. Three years ago, in 2015, nearly 900,000 people admitted using methamphetamine in the last month.

These statistics are what started the increases in federal funding dedicated to substance abuse, treatment, and prevention. Nearly $65 million was granted to Wisconsin in 2018, a $26 million increase from 2015.

Many substance abuse facilities have access to federal funding that isn’t made directly aware to the public, but available to those in need of substance abuse treatment who are unable to pay for services.

This can make it difficult for individuals when attempting to locate low-cost and free substance abuse rehabilitation services. Having a list to start the process can sometimes be helpful, which is why the list below includes several low-cost and free treatment options for substance abuse in Wisconsin.
