Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) is a CARF-accredited nonprofit serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with an adult residential services program located in Marquette. Established in 1973, the residential program takes a whole-person approach to address the mind, body, and spirit of each client through individualized treatment.

Facility Information

Every client receives is evaluated by a physician at intake, and medical providers are on-site several days per week. The program also offers social detoxification services and clinically monitored withdrawal management with medication support.

Clients participate in regularly scheduled group sessions covering addiction education, relapse prevention, 12-step principles, and coping strategies, as well as individual therapy and AA/NA meetings.

A chaplain is available for spiritual care with no religious affiliation requirement, and the team begins discharge planning on a client’s first day to support a smooth transition back into the community. GLRC accepts Michigan Medicaid, most Blue Cross plans, and self-pay.
