About Trifecta Healtcare Institute
When treatment begins at Trifecta Healthcare Institute, clients receive a treatment plan built around their specific situation. Days will typically be a combination of individual therapy, group sessions, and physical activities. Mornings might include CBT or DBT with a clinician, while afternoons involve boxing, jiu-jitsu, gym workouts, or outdoor activities like hiking and white-water rafting. The program is men-only and includes medical detox through PHP, IOP, and outpatient programming, with dual diagnosis treatment for those dealing with co-occurring mental health conditions alongside addiction.
Trifecta operates two Tennessee locations, one in Spring Hill near Nashville and one in Knoxville, and the program is built around a brotherhood model, or the idea that men do better in treatment when surrounded by other men who are going through the same thing. Men live in sober living accommodations and participate in a full schedule of activities that includes ropes courses, basketball, Top Golf, ice baths, and CrossFit.
The alumni program at Trifecta is designed to keep the brotherhood alive after someone finishes formal treatment. Graduates stay connected through ongoing peer meetings, alumni events, and continued access to the support network they built during their time in the program.
Levels of Care
Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Scheduled therapy while living at home — from once a week up to several sessions a week.
Sober Living Homes
A substance-free shared home with peer support and house rules, usually after treatment.
Aftercare Support
Ongoing support after treatment — alumni groups, check-ins, sober coaching, and meeting referrals.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Daytime clinical program — about 5 hours a day, most days of the week. Sleep at home or sober living.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
FDA-approved medication plus counseling to reduce cravings and withdrawal, mainly for opioid or alcohol use disorder.
Mental Health PHP and IOP
Same intensity as PHP or IOP, but the clinical focus is mental health rather than addiction.
