- Claimed
- Verified

Unclaimed Profiles
Unclaimed profiles found on Recovery Guide have not been claimed or verified by a facility representative. The information displayed on Unclaimed profiles comes from SAMSHA.
Because this information has not been verified by an authorized representative of the facility it is possible that some of the information may be outdated or inaccurate.
Claimed Profiles
A profile marked Claimed has been claimed by an individual associated with that facility. Claimed profiles display accurate program and contact information.
This is the information we confirm:
- Facility Name
- Correct contact information
- Confirm accurate information on profile
- Must be claimed by a staff or representative of provider
Verified Profiles
Verified Profiles are premium listings and the highest profile level offered by Recovery Guide. Verified listings are a premium product that behavioral healthcare providers pay for.
Recovery Guide works directly with a representative of the facility to build out a detailed and accurate profile that includes a number of features not found on a “claimed” profile.
Not all behavioral healthcare providers will be eligible for a verified profile status. Recovery Guide reserves the right to not feature facilities on our site that do not abide by our standards and definition of a quality treatment provider.
Some of the information we validate includes:
- Licensing and relevant accreditations
- We also require pictures and virtual tours of facilities to confirm amenities and room descriptions
- Treatment Offerings and what they treat
- Providers Website & Phone number that is owned and operated by the provider
- Amenities & Other offerings
- Payment Types accepted (insurance, self pay, etc)
- Cost of treatment
- Length of stay
Verified+ Profiles
Verified+ profiles are for facilities who wish to advertise throughout the site beyond their premium profile. Verified+ advertisements are clearly marked as “ads”. All Verified+ profiles must first go through the process of becoming Verified.
Verified+ profiles are generally found on regionally relevant pages. Select Verified+ profiles will be found pages that aren’t regionally relevant (i.e blogs, informational content). These providers generally have a national reach or a “destination” location.
To provide value to providers, there will be a limited number of Verified+ offerings in each region.
What Is The Difference Between a Claimed and Verified profile?
The main difference between a Claimed and a Verified Profile is the level of verification used and the fact that Verified profiles are paid for by the provider.
Verified profiles have a premium look and feel and provide much more information about a facility than a Claimed profile.
