I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I hold professional licenses in the states of Missouri, Georgia, and Florida. I also hold temporary licenses in New Jersey and Illinois during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been in the counseling field for over ten years. I am an eclectic counselor who draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I am trauma-informed and understand how trauma can manifest throughout life. My goal as a counselor is to be in the passenger seat while my client is in the driver’s seat. I can provide a different outlook but will support you in whatever choice you decide.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I attended Lindenwood University and received a Master’s in Professional Counseling. I have been in the social service field for over 14 years. During that time I have worked with families in the foster care system and conducted crisis assessments in hospitals, schools, and jails in St. Louis and surrounding areas. I have also had the opportunity to work with military families. During my career, I have struggled with work-life balance and understanding what it means to put myself first. It took a while to understand that I can’t be there for everybody unless I am doing things for myself. I am all about fighting for your happiness and challenging you to figure out what makes you happy and incorporate that into your everyday life.
