6 Free Or Low-Cost North Dakota Rehab Centers | Free Rehab North Dakota

Recognizing the need for substance abuse treatment can trigger a multitude of emotions. Finding affordable rehab can add unnecessary stress. The list below includes several low-cost or even free drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation locations across North Dakota.

Free Or Low-Cost North Dakota Rehab Centers

North Dakota receives much lower amounts of federal funding that is focused on substance abuse and prevention. Because funding is distributed based on drug and alcohol abuse in each state, and North Dakota reports less substance abuse than other states, this is no surprise.

The funding specifically dedicated to substance abuse treatment in North Dakota is a fraction of what is granted to other states. While states like New York receive over $200 million in substance abuse funds, North Dakota has been granted $8.5 million for substance abuse treatment.

The lack of funding does create a bit of a problem. This limits the number of affordable, low-cost or free substance abuse rehabilitation locations in the area. This does not mean that there are not free and low-cost options, it just means they may be harder to find.

People struggling with addiction still need drug and alcohol rehabilitation options, regardless of ability to pay. This is why North Dakota, like other states, has funding that is specifically intended to offset the cost of rehab for those who have limited income and no way to pay for treatment.

Because these low-cost options are often needs-based, it is possible that funding options may change frequently. The locations below include current locations that offer substance abuse treatment options for low-cost or free to those in need of services in North Dakota.
