Amethyst House is a non-profit organization that provides clients with alcohol and drug addiction treatment services. The recovery center provides both inpatient rehab and outpatient treatment programs, including gender-specific care.

The Amethyst House women’s and men’s residential programs provide treatment and supportive services for people ages 18 and over with chemical dependency issues. Potential clients are required to be sober for a minimum of five days before admittance into the residential treatment lodging, unless they are transferring from a hospital or detox center. Women can have their dependent children up to the age of 6 live with them at the house, on a case-by-case basis and if space is available.

Clients are required to secure a job and become financially secure, attend the outpatient treatment program, and start a support network through attending AA or NA meetings.

Community Fairbanks Recovery Center is part of the larger Community Health Network organizations for treating mental health and substance use disorders. While there are many different levels of care available, all provide a comprehensive approach that supports the mind, body, and spirit of every client served.

Upon arriving at Community Fairbanks, you or your loved one will be assessed to determine the proper course of treatment. The facility offers a full range of scientifically supported treatments, including one-on-one counseling, long-term residential programs, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medication management, and family support.

Clients in the detox program are medically stabilized under 24-hour professional supervision, then assessed to determine the next steps. Residential services combine the efforts of a multidisciplinary team to meet the individualized needs of clients. Medical observation continues during this phase of treatment.

Life Recovery Center is a substance abuse treatment center that provides outpatient treatment services for alcohol and drug abuse, mental health disorders, problem gambling, domestic violence, and more. The treatment facility focuses on the physical, mental, and spiritual components of recovery, offering intensive outpatient programs (IOP), standard outpatient treatment, aftercare services, and education.

Group therapy is provided throughout all levels of care. The first level, providing the most intensive treatment, is the IOP, which meets for three-hour sessions three times per week for 10 to 12 weeks. The second level meets for two hours three times per week for 10 to 15 weeks. The third level meets for two hours two times per week for 10 to 15 weeks. Finally, the aftercare and standard education options meet for two hours one time per week for 10 to 20 weeks.

The Otis R. Bowen Center for Human Services provides both substance abuse and mental health treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults, along with a wide range of other health services.

The Albion facility offers outpatient services for drug addiction and behavioral health issues that include MAT for opioid use disorder (OUD), individual counseling, group therapy, and family education support. Along with recovery from drug or alcohol dependence, this center can help with smoking cessation, compulsive gambling, and eating disorders.

Clients with general health issues or questions, such as those regarding weight management, nutrition, heartburn, abdominal pain, diabetes, or sexually transmitted diseases, can also find help here.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

Porter Starke Services is a non-profit organization that provides drug and alcohol treatment as well as psychiatric services and crisis intervention for children, adolescents, and adults. Rehab facilities are located in Valparaiso, Gary, Knox, La Porte, Portage, and Hebron, with mobile crisis-response services available.

Porter Starke Services offers a team of licensed therapists who all have specializations. Each client is matched with a therapist based on the client’s individual recovery needs and the therapist’s approach.

MAT services are available for clients facing opioid addiction. This includes the use of methadone or Suboxone, counseling services, and other supportive services deemed necessary. Women living with drug or alcohol addiction can find sober housing with supportive programming and a safe environment conducive to recovery.

Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is an outpatient treatment provider that administers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. The facility offers same-day appointments for prompt treatment and 24/7 scheduling.

For a personalized approach to recovery, the intake process includes a discussion of the client’s medical history, the nature and severity of their symptoms, and their personal recovery goals.

This facility offers multiple MAT medication options, including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone. People respond to these medications differently, so the doctors and nurses at this clinic will ensure that each person receives the medication and dosage that’s best for their needs. Aside from medication therapy, clients take part in individual and group therapy sessions to get to the roots of their substance abuse and develop coping skills to prevent relapse.

Valley Oaks Health provides comprehensive substance abuse and mental health services. This treatment facility dates all the way back to 1906, when it was first founded as a sanitarium.

Outpatient programs here offer individual and group therapy, case management, and MAT services, using a combination of FDA-approved medication and clinically informed therapy to provide an evidence-based treatment approach.

Case managers, or Skills Trainers as they are called at Valley Oaks Health, work directly with clients to connect them to the right resources and support them throughout life’s peaks and valleys. The goal of case management is to stabilize or improve social and behavioral functioning in school, in the community, and at home.

Treatment focuses on developing skills in problem-solving, coping, conflict resolution, and parenting. Skills Trainers also educate families and friends on mental health and how to support their loved ones.
